How Dolphins' scoring outburst backfired for one fan

Not every Dolphins fan is celebrating after Miami's 70-20 win over Denver on Sunday.

Bleacher Report pointed to a viral post on X by one fan, who stated he's rethinking his family's tradition of taking tequila shots every time Miami scores a touchdown.

That means they took 10 tequila shots on Sunday during a game that lasted three hours and 18 minutes.

In a follow-up post, the fan added an important disclaimer: the shots got smaller as the touchdowns piled up, so no one will need a new liver.

Miami scored the most points in an NFL game since 1966 on Sunday. Its 70-point outburst is something we usually only see in college football when an FBS team plays an FCS opponent. That it happened in an NFL game has been unheard of since the 1970 NFL/AFL merger.

The Dolphins' historic scoring outburst won't be duplicated anytime soon. It was a game that every Dolphins fan is likely to remember. Well, most of them at least. A few might wake up this morning wondering why their head hurts.
