Ja’Marr Chase has already established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and the Cincinnati Bengals star says Dez Bryant deserves some of the credit for that.
Chase was asked on Monday if he had any influences whom he tried to model his game after when he was younger. The first player he mentioned was Bryant.

Bryant appreciated the shoutout.

Chase said he also watched highlights of Stefon Diggs and teammate Tyler Boyd when he got to high school. That’s a great reminder of how young Chase is. Diggs is 28, and Boyd is 27. Both are still in their primes, but the 21-year-old Chase was a high schooler admiring their skills not all that long ago.
You can’t blame Chase for trying to model his game after Bryant’s. The former Dallas Cowboys star may be known more now for his Twitter beefs, but he was one of the most dominant players at his position during his prime. Chase has the potential to be even better.
