USA TODAY Sports

San Diego Padres starting pitcher Michael King was brilliant and led his squad to a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale on Saturday afternoon.

King allowed one hit and struck out three in three complete innings. He has not given up a run in five innings of Cactus League work.

Matthew Batten drove in the game-winning run on an RBI single in the top of the ninth.

San Diego out-hit the Giants 10-8 with José Azócar and Óscar Mercado having two hits each. Graham Pauley hit a solo home run in the victory.

Here are some highlights from the game:

San Diego will send Yu Darvish to the mound against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday at 12:10 p.m. PT at Peoria Sports Complex.
